Thunder in November

This morning I got to sleep in thanks to the friday schedule...in fact I slept so well I didn't even hear the kids when they woke Howie up after 7...love that!! Especially after the sleepless nite before when SamSam was sick, who by the way you'd never know it looking at her today!! I made us breakfast while chatting with my parents an then Howie was off to work for the day.

At 9:30 DJ headed next door and back saying the boys would come I've when they were done their breakfast. So I went ahead and got started on Mt Laundry and cleaning. The rain was pouring from the sky and it took me a bit to realize I was hearing thunder too!! Rather odd for November!! I only heard it twice after I clued in tithe sound, the kids were clueless lol

Around 11 DJ headed next door and Samantha and I kept on working. We weren't in a rush and took our time...she even let me watch Glee while folding laundry. She wore her tutu and danced to the songs. Good compromise for both of us. We had lunch together and I had to keep reminding myself that DJ was NOT at school but next door.

It wasn't til 5 that I actually got around to mopping the floor! But I did get 4 loads done and the dishes done, and all the recycle taken out. Dinner was the easy way out...mac n cheese with hotdogs! Been a while and both kids gobbled theirs right up! After dinner the kids got a bath...SamSam is LOVING being able to have bubble baths now!! Thanks to Norwex she can safely enjoy one! I also won a shower gel as a door prize, so I used it tonite on Samantha and I was impressed!! I also see her skin starting to clear up now that we're back on the Norwex detergent again. Remind me NOT to run out of that stuff ever again!!!

I was just brushing DJ's teeth when Howie got home from work. He ate while I read to the kids and then helped tuck 'em in. I ended up laying with DJ til he fell asleep which didn't take him long. Then I came out to watch tv with Howie before he went to bed. Caught upon the DVR'd shows. Psych was first and hilarious as usual!! Next up was Grey's from last nite and it was heavy!! I didn't care for the reference to my hwy 2...which is such a deadly highway!! So much so they have a scoreboard to keep track of how many days since the last serious crash! Also didn't care for them killing off Henry!!! Damn those writers!! Private Practice was just as thought provoking as ever! And lastly was Blue Bloods, which was a lil scary, but I was preoccupied as I as typing all this out on my phone in the comfort of my chair :)
